Meet Robert J. Rabiea, MD, NationalRad's Newest Musculoskeletal Radiologist

Please join us in welcoming Robert J. Rabiea, MD to NationalRad.

Dr. Rabiea is board-certified, fellowship-trained, musculoskeletal radiologist and will start reading both musculoskeletal and body imaging studies for our clients as of May 1, 2014.

Dr. Rabiea received his medical degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He performed his diagnostic radiology residency at New York Hospital - Cornell University Medical Center in New York, NY and his fellowship training at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC.

Prior to joining NationalRad, Dr. Rabiea served as a musculoskeletal radiologist for Elite Imaging and Signet Diagnostic Imaging in Southern Florida, as well as the medical director and a musculoskeletal radiologist for a teleradiology group. He has also held musculoskeletal radiology positions with St. Luke’s Hospital and Advanced Medical Imaging in Newburgh, NY and The Cornwall Hospital in Cornwall, NY.

Larry Burk, MD to Offer Comfort Talk® Training for Patient Relaxation


LARRY BURK, MD, NationalRad musculoskeletal radiologist and practicing holistic radiologist, will now be offering COMFORT TALK training to healthcare professionals and institutions around the world with Elvira Lang, MD, an interventional radiologist, former Associate Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School and founder of HYPNALGESICS.

Comfort Talk is based on the award-winning book Patient Sedation Without Medication, published by Dr. Lang in 2009. Dr. Burk and Dr. Lang will be teaching hypnosis, relaxation techniques and rapport skills to radiology techs, nurses and physicians. It is an evidence-based approach shown to reduce anxiety, pain and claustrophobia while decreasing the time and medication required for procedures and increasing patient satisfaction.

William B. Morrison, MD to Become SSR President & Offer Salter-Harris Injuries Poster Presentation with Timothy G. Sanders, MD at the Annual Meeting this March

WILLIAM B. MORRISON, MD, NationalRad musculoskeletal radiologist is set to become the Society of Skeletal Radiology (SSR) President this March at the society's annual meeting. This year the meeting is being held March 16-19 at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego. In addition to assuming his new role with the organization, Dr. Morrison will have a poster presentation on display at the meeting in conjunction with NationalRad's Medical Director, TIMOTHY G. SANDERS, MD, and several other colleagues.

The poster presentation, entitled Periosteal Entrapment in Salter-Harris Injuries: Too Much on the Plate, presents a series of Salter−Harris injuries with periosteal entrapment. It aims to better understand incidence and distribution, appearance and potential complications with regard to healing.
