D. Lawrence Burk, Jr., MD

Musculoskeletal Radiologist

Dr. Burk is well published in diagnostic radiology and musculoskeletal imaging. His more than 60 publications have appeared in such journals as Radiology, the American Journal of Roentgenology and Skeletal Radiology. Further, Dr. Burk is a Comfort Talk Trainer; Comfort Talk makes use of language to help reduce patients' anxiety, pain and distress.

Prior to joining NationalRad 2004, Dr. Burk held staff diagnostic radiology positions with Duke University Medical Center, Durham, North Carolina, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Pittsburgh NMR Institute, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He has served as section head of musculoskeletal radiology, associate professor of radiology and associate clinical professor of radiology at Duke University Medical Center. In addition, Dr. Burk has held posts as director of education at the Duke Center for Integrative Medicine, associate clinical professor of radiology at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine, Norfolk, Virginia, assistant professor of radiology at Jefferson Medical College Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and instructor of radiology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
